Help for the Hunter Region
NOVA Alliance Bank CEO, David Franklin, said that the Board with the support of staff and members agreed to expand the grant program.
“There is no doubt that the Covid19 pandemic has thrown many challenges to our community, particularly in the not-for-profit sector. This year we decided to increase our support and provide five organisations within our community with a grant. Each grant provides additional financial support to projects so that they can operate within their communities."

Soul Cafe
Operating since 2003 the cafe provides free hot meals to disadvantaged people in the Newcastle region. Many are homeless, or dealing with drug or alcohol addiction, crime or violence, poverty, separation or mental health issues. The cafe also links people to support services that provide a pathway towards increased safety, health and purpose.
